Florescent Baubles

Florescent Bubbles is a series of eight small sculptures that succeeded Baubles. Like their predecessors, they were made from manipulating extremely wet clay into rough abstract forms, which were then shaped by tearing, folding and carving. The largest dimension is seven inches.
The pieces were finished with florescent lacquers and metallic leaf to make them even more garish than their forbearers and accentuate their character as "small, showy trinkets or decoration... embellished with glittering touches... something that is superficially attractive but useless or worthless..."
